Andy
I painted a picture(18" x60"),
called it Blue Over all
to my surprise it sold to a person who has several of my pieces
that are more---shall we say "easy"--less about something and abstract
here's a link to the pic. I don't think that the feeling of your song
came out with my hands but It is a great song.
Again I'm not trying to shamelessly promote myself as this piece has already sold.
http://www.onebighappyartfactory.com/BlueOverall.html
you should hear my son--who's work will show in the Smithsonian in Washington DC this year and has Down Syndrome sing along to Apple Venus or some of you others. He knows all the words.

I was wondering as I was listening lately, did ya'll(colin and you) just basically do your own thing on the Apple Venus and call it XTC. Seems on your songs all the vocals were you and on Colin's songs all the vocals were him? Just curious. Maybe my aging ears are failing me.

Having asked Colin some inane question right before Christmas at the (unbroadcast) tailend of a radio broadcast leads me here....

...it's interesting sometimes (another side to that coin) to observe the interest, desires of fans. so...

...this is delightful and noncommittal, which it should be.

come to georgia and have fun sometime. reviewing some songs today made me think of this and then there it was!

cheers.

Andy
I was wondering if you got a chance to see the wacky 'lill movie on comment 37 from this post. You have to get past the first 15 seconds to really see what the short is about.

We drove to Houston from Corpus Christi and had several CDs for the trip
and we listened to Nonsuch and Apple-Venus Vol. 1. (also had english settlement and Mummer in the car but didn't get to them) It was great to hear them again and I could sing along with them all even though I hadn't given them a listen in quite some time. You guys were really great and as my wife said "genius". I wished I could have listened to maypole in the car ride but didn't snatch that one up for the ride.

I've a comment by you the type of people who like your music are.
If you've the interest----I'm an artist and make sculptures drawings(my website link shows that kind of work) and " abstract shorts" where I play and write the music.
and I have a few movies posted and below are links to them.
The web really ruins all the detail though.
I'm not trying to shamelessly promote myself--it does no good anyway--just thought I try to communicate with Andy. Blessings!

Really like the conversations. The music is groovy!
How much is that price in Dollars for the 2 disks?
Also I thought I saw a video of Andy and
some cute blonde chick announcing a
christmas concert in Corpus Christi TX
<a href="http://onebighappyartfactory.com/isthatandy.html" rel="nofollow">here's a link</a>
It's really wack--- I wonder how they got him to do that?

Interesting reading the comments. The occasional person demands pork sausages after the shop has turned vegetarian. I think there may be a bit more from Andy and Barry in future, well away from the 'Monstrance' format. Just a hunch.....

Andy & Barry rocking out again. Gotta love it. I once saw Barry live solo in my middle-of-nowhere hometown (Eureka, CA)

Monstrance is lot's of fun.
